National Cleanup Workshop in September

Energy Communities Alliance (ECA) will hold the National Cleanup Workshop 14–15 September 2016 at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, Virginia. Cooperating organizations for the event include the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Energy Facility Contractors Group.

The nuclear cleanup program's leaders scheduled to take part in the workshop include Assistant Secretary Monica Regalbuto, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Mark Whitney, and Acting Associate Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Frank Marcinowski from DOE's Office of Environmental Management (EM).

The workshop will bring together senior DOE executives, DOE site officials, industry executives, and other stakeholders to discuss EM's progress on the cleanup of the environmental legacy of the nation's Manhattan Project and Cold War nuclear weapons program.
