An article by University of Pittsburgh researchers evaluating the 1979 Three Mile Island (TMI) accident in the June 2000 "Environmental Health Perspectives" states: "The mortality surveillance . . . does not provide consistent evidence that radioactivity released during the TMI accident has a significant impact on the mortality experience of this cohort to date."
