At the Health Physics Society (HPS) Board meeting held on July 1 in Philadelphia, Leilyn Perri was appointed HPS Director of Special Publications. This appointment is effective on September l, 1999. Leilyn replaces Kay Thiemann who is resigning this position.
Michael T. Ryan will start a three-year term as Editor-in-Chief of Health Physics in September 2000. He follows Kenneth Miller in that position. Miller will remain as Editor-in-Chief of Operational Radiation Safety (ORS), the Society's new operational journal, for another six to twelve months. At that time, Ryan will also assume editorship of Operational Radiation Safety.
In addition to these new appointments, Genevieve Roessler was reappointed Editor-in-Chief of the Newsletter.
