Mark Your Calendar: IRPA North American Congress

Mike Mahathy, Congress Organizing Committee Chair

The Health Physics Society (HPS) will host the inaugural International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA) North American Congress 20–24 February 2022 in St. Louis, Missouri. IRPA approved the HPS proposal on 7 June 2020.

The theme for the congress is "Meeting the Challenges in the Practice of Radiation Protection." Radiation protection societies in Canada and Mexico are cosponsoring. Nolan Hertel is the congress president and chair of the Executive Committee, Ed Waller (Canadian Radiation Protection Association) is congress vice-president, and Mike Mahathy is chair of the Organizing Committee.

We will be seeking presentations from young scientists and senior professionals practicing in the field of health physics. The Organizing Committee will share more details in coming weeks.
