HPS Web Operations
Did you know that you can win health physics-related books at the Health Physics Society (HPS) annual meetings? Each year we give away books worth hundreds of dollars—textbooks, reference books, novels, handbooks, etc.—covering a whole array of topics and subjects. All it takes to enter the book drawing is a visit to the HPS Publications Booth in the exhibit hall during the meeting. Some years, entry requires filling out a survey to provide your opinions on the work the publications team is doing. Some years, you just need to enter your name. In any case, visit with the editors who provide your publications—Health Physics News, HPS.org, Health Physics Journal, and Operational Radiation Safety—and also get information on many books available in the field.

We will hold the drawing again at the 2023 HPS Annual Meeting in National Harbor in July. We have received promises for many great books and have room for more. You can never have too many books!
If you have authored, edited, or published a book related to health physics and would like to donate copies, contact News Editor Mary Walchuk. Your donation will be noted in Health Physics News and on flyers at the meeting, including the name of the book, the author/editor/publisher, and information on where and how to order. This is a great way to make your book visible to a large gathering of health physicists.
