The Student Support Committee (SSC) is currently planning to host a (free!) virtual science communication webinar led by Dr. Kelly Lazar, along with several other panelists. The webinar will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, 15 November at 12 pm (EST).
Lazar is an assistant professor in engineering and science education and in environmental engineering and earth sciences at Clemson University. She has experience in teaching STEM communication classes and mentoring students in the fields of geological sciences and science education.
The interactive panel discussion will focus on topics such as professional science communication to different audiences, presentation design that aids communication, the use of storytelling to get your message across, the importance of science/professional branding of yourself and your work through social media, and other related topics. There will also be time for audience questions and additional discussion throughout. This webinar promises to be interactive, useful, and interesting for all!
Please register your interest at Science Communication Webinar RSVP and a Zoom link will be sent out ahead of the webinar. Not a student? No problem, everyone is welcome!
