Get ready for the Second Annual Health Physics Society (HPS) Winter Workshop at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, 6–9 February 2023! The theme of the winter workshop will be Internal Dosimetry. Even if you don't do internal dosimetry as the main part of your job, we hope you will find value in the tools, examples, discussions, and networking opportunities at the workshop. Along with the typical lecture format of conferences, sessions will incorporate interactive aspects to engage the audience. Activities throughout the day will be geared toward students and early career professionals, and evening social gatherings will be held for fun relaxing times to meet your fellow health physicists. Be on the lookout for the official program to be posted and for registration to open soon.
If internal dosimetry isn't your thing but you still want to enjoy time with fellow health physicists, come out and participate in the Radiological Operations Support Specialists (ROSS) training course for four days. By participating in this hands-on training, individuals will leave with the skills and capabilities to assist in radiological and nuclear emergency response. The ROSS training course will be held concurrently with the Internal Dosimetry Workshop.
For more information about the Internal Dosimetry Workshop or ROSS, check out the meeting website. If you have any questions about the program, contact Task Force Chair Rachel Nichols.
