The Department of Energy (DOE) is asking the public to comment on proposed procedures that it will use to help workers under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act of 2000. The Act was designed to help workers who may have been exposed to radiation and other hazards while working at nuclear weapons facilities over the past 50 years.
