Panel on Homeland Security to be Conducted in Bethesda, Maryland

The Baltimore-Washington Chapter of the Health Physics Society (BWCHPS) has announced that an expert panel discussion titled "Panel on Homeland Security: How Can Science Societies Help?" will be conducted on November 28, 2001, at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, Maryland. The purpose of the panel is to explore how scientific societies in the Washington, D.C., area can provide vital information and assist in the nation's revitalized efforts to improve homeland security. The meeting is being sponsored by the BWCHPS in conjunction with the Potomac and Chesapeake Chapters of the American Industrial Hygiene Association, the Washington, D.C., Section of the American Nuclear Society, and the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine.
