The BBC announced on September 5 that a new international university has been set up to promote the spread of expertise in nuclear technology across the world.
The goal of the university is to improve and expand education and training in nuclear technologies. Hans Blix, recently the United Nations inspector in Iraq and, from 1981 to 1997, the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, is to be the university's chancellor.
