The Health Physics Society (HPS) and American Nuclear Society (ANS) have made an agreement in the spirit of increasing liaison between the two Societies to allow members of each Society to attend the other's upcoming meeting at the Society member rate of that Society.
HPS members may attend the ANS June meeting at the Boston Marriott Copley, June 5 to June 10, 1999, at the ANS member registration rates. The ANS meeting includes a President's Special Session co-chaired by HPS President Dinger and ANS President Quinn, a Plenary Session titled "The Atom in the Next Millennium", four sessions on Low-level Radiation Health Effects, two sessions on radiation therapy techniques, three sessions on D&D, and four sessions on radioactive waste management. The Preliminary Program announcement is available on the ANS website at http://www.ans.org/.
ANS members may attend the HPS annual meeting at the Philadelphia Convention Center, June 27 to July 1, 1999, at the HPS member registration rates. In addition, they will receive six months of complimentary Associate Membership privileges in the HPS which includes six months of all HPS publications.
