HPS Homeland Security Committee Posts New Presentation on Radiological Exposure Devices
The Health Physics Society Homeland Security Committee has developed a training presentation on radiological exposure devices. The presentation, along with the instructor notes, contains generic guidance to the first-responder/receiver community for response to a radiation exposure device. The presentation describes how the command phases may flow between various response entities such as first response, medical, regulatory, and law enforcement. As with any guidance, it should be evaluated to see how it may fit into a jurisdictions' response protocols.
The presentation can be found on the First Response webpage under Links to First Responder Resources.
