New Journal App for the iPad®

In partnership with Wolters Kluwer Health/Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Michael T. Ryan, Health Physics Journal editor in chief, is pleased to announce the launch of an iPad® app for Health Physics and Operational Radiation Safety. The November 2012 issue is the first that will be available on the app.

The same information that has been critical to health physicists, nuclear chemists, and physicians with interest in nuclear and radiological medicine worldwide for over 50 years in print is now also offered on the iPad. The app puts the most up-to-date information in your hands whether in the office, at home, or in the classroom.

The new Health Physics app uses the best digital technology to present a print-like reading experience enhanced with article-sharing features and multimedia capabilities. Features and functionality include:

  • Full-text articles that can be shared via email
  • Adjustable text sizing
  • Access to high-quality images
  • Ability to store or delete downloaded issues
  • Speedy issue-browsing capabilities
  • Quick scrolling through abstracts
  • Convenient notification when a new issue is available
  • Links to Health Physics online, including archived issues

For a limited time, free full-text access is available by going to Apple's App StoreTM, searching for "Health Physics," and downloading the app.

Members of the Health Physics Society who receive Health Physics as a benefit of membership will continue to have access to the Journal on the app at no additional cost.

Nonmember individual subscribers to Health Physics will also have access to the Journal via the app as well as online at www.health-physics.com.
