Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) in Harrogate, Tennessee, will host a free continuing medical education course titled "Agents of Opportunity for Terrorism" 19–20 September 2013. This is the second year LMU-DCOM has hosted the course.

The course content was developed and is presented by the Radiation Emergency Assistance Center/Training Site (REAC/TS), a part of the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education, and the American College of Medical Toxicology (ACMT). The course, course materials, and CME credits will be provided at no charge for registered participants. Day one of the course will cover toxic industrial chemicals (TICs) and toxic industrial materials (TIMs); day two of the course will cover toxic radiological materials (TRMs).

The course is open to students and practitioners in all health care fields, including medicine, nursing, and emergency medical services. Practicing physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and emergency responders are all encouraged to attend. Medical, physician assistant, nursing, and emergency responder students are also encouraged to participate.

The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim on the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. LMU-DCOM has requested that the AOA Council on Continuing Medical Education approve this program for 12.5 credits of AOA Category 1-A CME credits. Approval is currently pending.
