Is there a need to routinely check lead goggles under fluoroscopy to look for cracks?
A
You should not need to perform checks for cracks in leaded eyeglasses under fluoroscopy, because any cracks should be visible to the naked eye. However, the situation is different for lead aprons. The biggest reason to x ray lead aprons for cracks is simply because the leaded material is covered and you cannot do a visual evaluation.
